Live Nation and MGM Resorts Open Vinyl Room Las Vegas, a Music-Focused Rooftop Dining Destination
Designed by Blueprint Studio, the space is built around a staggering collection of nearly 5,000 vinyl records—many belonging to artists who have graced Las Vegas stages. The walls display signed albums, vintage audio gear, and rare memorabilia, while a wheat‑paste poster wall by Memphis‑based papermaker Colleen Couch pays homage to decades of local performances. The layout is split into three distinct areas: the 78 Lounge, the 45 Dining Room, and an exclusive 33 Members Room.
"Guests can settle in for happy hour, share dishes over dinner, and indulge in the incredible cocktail menu as the experience evolves from sunset into late night," Live Nation explained. The design draws inspiration from 1970s Japanese hi‑fi lounges, with every detail intended to encourage attentive listening. Blueprint Studio president David Codiga noted that the project began as a listening room and was then layered with a dining and cocktail program that complements, rather than competes with, the music.
Nightly programming is curated to create a shared listening experience. Daily Sunset Sessions run from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring DJs spinning laid‑back selections that match the golden hour. Mondays host Disco’s Revenge, a downtown‑disco‑style night with classic disco, deep grooves, and funk. Tuesdays celebrate Latin culture with Pura Vida, which plays reggaeton, Latin pop, salsa, bachata, and more. Live Nation president Kurt Melien emphasized that "every evening is thoughtfully curated to bring people together, making Vinyl Room a destination where great music, great food, and unforgettable views come together."
Membership offers access to the private 33 Members Room, dedicated concierge service, members‑only events, Las Vegas concert ticket credits, and additional perks. The venue is also available for private events such as corporate gatherings, brand activations, receptions, and celebrations. Reservations open daily at 3 p.m. and can be made through OpenTable.
The Vinyl Room’s opening continues Live Nation’s strategy to merge music promotion with hospitality, while MGM Resorts expands its portfolio of high‑profile entertainment venues. Positioned atop Mandalay Bay, the rooftop location provides panoramic views of the Strip and positions the venue as a new cultural hotspot for locals and visitors alike.
As the venue settles into its daily rhythm, industry observers will watch how the Vinyl Room balances its dual focus on audio quality and culinary experience, and whether its membership model and event programming attract a steady stream of music‑centric clientele.
