Oteil Burbridge, the Grammy‑winning bassist known for his work with the Allman Brothers Band and Dead & Company, will perform with Vermont‑based trio LaMP on a four‑night Wish Benefit Tour in October. The tour, presented by Fiddlehead Brewing Company, will take place at Universal Preservation Hall in Saratoga Springs, Higher Ground in Burlington, Brooklyn Bowl in Brooklyn, and Somerville Theatre in Somerville.

The tour is organized by Make‑A‑Wish chapters in Vermont, Northeast New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. According to the announcement, the concerts will support the nonprofit’s mission to grant life‑changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. The first show is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2026, and the final performance will be on Friday, October 9.

Pre‑sale registration for tickets opens Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at 10 a.m. Eastern time. Fans who register will receive a link that opens on July 29 through 31 at 9:59 a.m. The public sale begins on July 31, 2026, at 10 a.m. Eastern. Sponsorship opportunities are available at several levels, and interested parties can contact Emily Malley (emalley@vtny.wish.org) or Michael Vieira (mvieira@massri.wish.org).

Oteil Burbridge, born August 24, 1964, has been a prominent figure in the jam‑band scene since the late 1990s. He first gained national attention as a member of the Allman Brothers Band from 1997 to 2014 and later as a founding member of Dead & Company. In addition to his work with those groups, Burbridge has performed with the Aquarium Rescue Unit and the Tedeschi Trucks Band.

LaMP, a trio formed in 2019, consists of drummer Russ Lawton, bassist Scott Metzger, and keyboardist Ray Paczkowski. All three musicians have collaborated with the Trey Anastasio Band and Joe Russo’s Almost Dead. The group has released several studio and live albums and has performed across the United States.

In a statement released with the tour announcement, Burbridge said, “I’m so excited to share the stage with Russ, Ray and Scott on this upcoming run for such a great organization. I’ve participated in Make‑A‑Wish since the Allman Brothers days but it has been a long time. This is a rare opportunity to join LaMP and see what flavor of musical brew we can conjure up. Don’t miss this one if you’re within striking distance.”

Scott Metzger added, “Oteil is what I call an X‑factor musician, meaning what he brings to the table can’t be put into words. You just feel it. Every time I’ve played with Oteil he’s been beyond thoughtful and generous as a collaborator, contributing creative ideas left and right. The fact that the four of us get to play together for the first time for a great cause like Make‑A‑Wish makes these shows that much more special. I have no doubt this is going to be an outrageous tour.”

Amy Cohen, co‑owner of Fiddlehead Brewing Company and a member of the Make‑A‑Wish Vermont and Northeast New York Board of Directors, explained the company’s involvement: “More than ten years ago, our son Noah received a wish, and we saw firsthand what it meant for him and for our whole family. In the middle of everything he was facing, it gave him something to look forward to and reminded all of us how much joy is still possible. To help grant that same joy for other children now, through the live music we love, is a full‑circle moment we will never forget.”

Make‑A‑Wish Vermont & Northeast New York has granted nearly 3,500 wishes since 1986. The organization operates from Wishing Spaces in Shelburne, Vermont, and Saratoga Springs, New York, and serves a 20,000‑square‑mile area that includes Vermont and 15 counties in Northeast New York.

Make‑A‑Wish Massachusetts & Rhode Island, which runs a similar program, has granted over 11,000 wishes in its 40‑year history. The chapter is currently working to fulfill the wishes of 130 local children between Memorial Day and Labor Day.

The four‑night tour will bring together musicians with deep roots in the jam‑band tradition and a shared commitment to community service. By performing in venues that range from historic halls to modern concert spaces, the event aims to raise awareness for the Make‑A‑Wish mission while providing high‑quality live music to audiences across the Northeast.

Tickets for the Wish Benefit Tour will be available through the Make‑A‑Wish website. Fans who register for the pre‑sale will receive early access, while the general public can purchase tickets starting July 31. Sponsorship packages are still open, and interested parties can reach out to the contact emails listed above.

The tour’s schedule, venue details, and ticketing information are confirmed by the Make‑A‑Wish organization and the presenting brewery. No additional dates or changes have been announced.

The Wish Benefit Tour represents a collaboration between seasoned musicians, a local brewery, and a nonprofit organization dedicated to granting wishes. The event is expected to draw fans of the jam‑band genre and supporters of the Make‑A‑Wish cause alike, providing a platform for both musical excellence and charitable impact.
