Girls Inc. of Carpinteria Opens New Music Room Thanks to Montecito Musicians Donation
Girls Inc. of Carpinteria announced the opening of a fully equipped music room on its campus, a development made possible by a generous contribution from local singers and songwriters Lila and Georgia MacPhail. The new space, located within the nonprofit’s existing facilities, is designed to provide girls with hands‑on access to instruments and virtual music tutoring.
The studio houses a range of equipment, including guitars, amplifiers, a keyboard, a drum set, and a desktop computer station for online lessons. Georgia MacPhail said the room “is a place where they can share [their] passion and be creative and play with each other,” adding that it is “magical” for a community that has long valued music.
