Rowena Wise Announces First New Zealand Solo Tour, Supporting Upcoming Album "Bad Things Feel Good"
Australian singer‑songwriter Rowena Wise will perform in New Zealand for the first time this spring, with a series of intimate solo shows that will precede the full release of her second studio album, Bad Things Feel Good, on 7 August 2026.
The tour, organised by The Slack Agency and promoted by Beloved Records and Remote Control Records, will take Wise to five venues across the North and South Islands. The dates are:
24 September – The Turner Centre, Kerikeri 25 September – Auckland Old Folks, Auckland 26 September – The Yard Café & Venue, Raglan 27 September – Dawn, Ōakura * 3 October – Vogelmorn Upstairs, Wellington

The tour follows Wise’s debut album, Senseless Acts of Beauty, which was shortlisted for the 2024 Australian Music Prize and received praise from Mixdown as “a rollercoaster of beautiful moments combined in one cohesive, flowing stream.” The album was also described by CLASH Magazine as “carefully etched indie folk.” Senseless Acts of Beauty was released in 2024 and has accumulated more than 10 million streams across streaming platforms.
Bad Things Feel Good is a ten‑song cycle that explores “emotional fault lines of love, identity and mental health.” The album’s lead single, “Blood Ties,” was released in early 2026 and is available on Rowena Wise’s Bandcamp page. Wise’s songwriting has been noted for its clarity and emotional honesty, a quality highlighted in the press release announcing the tour.
Since her debut in 2018, Wise has toured extensively in Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, the United States and Canada. She has supported a range of artists, including Folk Bitch Trio, Holy Holy, Ball Park Music, Bernard Fanning and Paul Dempsey. Her music has received airplay on Triple J, Double J and Unearthed.
