After a five‑year pause, Evanescence re‑entered the music world on June 5 2026 with its sixth studio album, Sanctuary. The 12‑track LP arrives as the band’s first full‑length studio release since 2021’s The Bitter Truth and the second collection of new material since the 2011 debut Evanescence. The announcement was paired with the release of the single “Who Will You Follow,” setting the tone for the group’s return.

Sanctuary was shaped by a trio of producers: Jordan Fish, Zakk Cervini, and Nick Raskulinecz. Fish, previously the keyboardist and producer for Bring Me the Horizon, and Cervini, who has worked with Blink‑182, Bring Me the Horizon, and Poppy, co‑wrote the album. Tracks such as “Beautiful Lie,” “Tell Me When You’ve Had Enough,” and “Forever Without You” weave guitar‑driven sections, piano‑led passages, and electronic textures while preserving the band’s signature down‑tuned guitars and layered synths.

Prior to the album’s release, Evanescence issued two singles. “Afterlife,” which appeared on the Devil May Cry soundtrack, debuted on March 28 2025. “Who Will You Follow” followed on April 10 2026, accompanied by a music video directed by Jensen Noen. Both tracks were produced by Cervini and Fish.

To promote Sanctuary, the band will launch a 2026 world tour beginning on June 11 2026 with a show in West Palm Beach, Florida. The North American leg will feature support from Spiritbox and Nova Twins, while European and UK dates will include Poppy and Nova Twins. In March 2027, the band will add six arena dates across Australia and New Zealand—Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland—following recent appearances supporting Metallica in the region.

Concert setlists are expected to blend new material with classic hits. Songs such as “Bring Me to Life,” “Going Under,” and “My Immortal” will likely appear alongside tracks from Sanctuary. The lineup also marks the first album to feature bassist Emma Anzai.

Sanctuary is distributed by BMG in North America and by Columbia Records in select international markets. The album’s release follows a five‑year gap after The Bitter Truth and positions Evanescence as a continuing force in gothic alternative metal and hard rock. The band’s history includes five studio albums, a live album, and a series of high‑profile tours, with Sanctuary representing a new chapter in their evolving sound.

The album is currently available on major streaming platforms, and ticket sales for the 2026 tour are underway. Fans can find full tour dates and venue details on the band’s official website. The next major milestone will be the first arena show in West Palm Beach, followed by the European leg in September and October. No further releases or changes to the tour schedule have been announced.
