Samsung Electronics announced a new partnership with Amazon Music on 15 July 2026 that will bring the streaming app to the Galaxy Store and pre‑install it on a range of Samsung phones and tablets worldwide. The deal lets all Galaxy devices download Amazon Music from the Galaxy Store, and for a limited time, new Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers receive three months of free service.

Under the agreement, select Samsung smartphones and tablets will ship with Amazon Music pre‑installed, allowing users to connect to the service immediately after the initial setup. Even devices that do not receive the pre‑install can download the app from the Galaxy Store at any time. Amazon Music’s catalog boasts 100 million songs, podcasts, artist livestreams, curated and personal playlists, and artist merchandise.

The free‑trial promotion runs for 12 months from the launch date in the United States and in several international markets. New subscribers who download the app from the Galaxy Store are granted a three‑month trial of Amazon Music Unlimited. After the trial, the subscription auto‑renews at $12.99 per month plus taxes, or $11.99 per month for Amazon Prime members. Users may cancel their subscription at any time before the renewal date by visiting the Amazon Music settings.

"We are constantly finding new ways to deliver special benefits and value for our Galaxy users," said Izzet Asayas, Samsung’s Head of CTV & Mobile Business Development. "This partnership continues to elevate premium experiences across the Galaxy ecosystem." Amazon Music’s Director of Business Development, Karolina Joynathsing, added that the pre‑installation "puts world‑class audio entertainment in customers’ hands from the very first moment—with a free Amazon Music Unlimited trial to make that first experience truly exceptional."

The move follows a broader industry trend in which device manufacturers bundle streaming services to differentiate their product lines. Samsung has previously partnered with Spotify and Apple Music to offer free trials or discounted subscriptions on selected devices. Amazon Music launched its Unlimited service in the United States in 2016 and has since expanded its catalog and features, adding high‑definition audio tiers and podcasting capabilities.

For Samsung, the partnership is part of a strategy to strengthen its ecosystem and boost user engagement on Galaxy devices. By providing a ready‑made streaming option, Samsung can encourage users to stay within its ecosystem for music consumption, potentially increasing the use of other Samsung services such as Samsung Pay and Samsung Health.

Amazon benefits by gaining direct access to Samsung’s global customer base. The pre‑installation and free‑trial offer are designed to convert new users into paying Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers, and the company can leverage the partnership to promote its broader Amazon ecosystem, including Prime Video, Amazon Books, and Amazon Shopping.

The collaboration is currently limited to select devices and markets. Samsung has not disclosed the full list of models that will ship with Amazon Music pre‑installed, nor the specific countries beyond the United States where the free‑trial promotion will be available. Both companies have indicated that the offer will be reviewed periodically and may be extended or modified based on user uptake and market conditions.

In summary, Samsung’s partnership with Amazon Music introduces a pre‑installed streaming app on a range of Galaxy devices and offers a three‑month free trial of Amazon Music Unlimited to new subscribers who download the app from the Galaxy Store. The initiative reflects a growing trend of device manufacturers bundling streaming services to enhance user experience and drive subscription growth.
