Wildfire to Debut at DuBois Music Fest, Bringing Classic Rock and Country to Edward V. Cherry Amphitheater
The band’s core is built around lead vocalist and percussionist Sally Peterson, who steers the group from St. Marys. Joel Greene of Farmers Valley supplies the lead‑guitar work, while Roger Keifer of Smethport lays down rhythm guitar and backing vocals. The rhythm section is anchored by drummer Brad Greenman from Port Allegany and bassist Michelle Smith of Olean, N.Y., who also adds vocal depth. Together, they bring more than two decades of live‑performance experience, a reputation for tight harmonies, and a repertoire that spans several genres.
Music Fest Chairman Denny Skraba first heard Wildfire two years ago when his own band was playing in St. Marys. "I was very impressed," Skraba told local media. He noted that he had tried to book the group for the 2025 concert series but was unable to secure a slot. The upcoming show marks the band’s debut at the festival and is expected to add a new flavor to the event’s lineup.
Organizers have framed the show as an energetic evening of live entertainment. Should inclement weather arise, cancellations will be announced on the Music Fest Facebook page, as well as on Q102.1 (Bigfoot Country) and Sunny 106.5. Attendees are reminded not to block the Penelec building garage doors or park on the park lawn, as vehicles in those areas may be subject to a fine.
The Edward V. Cherry Amphitheater Stage has long hosted regional acts, and Wildfire’s addition is part of Music Fest’s effort to broaden its musical offerings. The free concert is open to all residents of DuBois and surrounding communities, with no tickets required. The event begins at 7:00 p.m.; Wildfire takes the stage at 7:15 p.m. and concludes at 8:30 p.m.
As the festival’s Thursday‑night program, Wildfire’s performance follows a lineup that has included local favorites and regional touring acts. The band’s set will likely feature classic rock staples, country tunes, and southern rock anthems, reflecting the diverse musical heritage of the area. Fans who have seen the group in St. Marys and other venues have praised their musicianship and stage presence.
At the time of writing, the event has been confirmed by Music Fest organizers and the band’s management. No additional dates or touring information have been announced. The concert will take place on Thursday, July 18, 2026, at the Edward V. Cherry Amphitheater Stage in DuBois City Park, and will be free to the public.
