MAPPA, the Japanese animation studio behind titles such as Chainsaw Man, Jujutsu Kaisen and Attack on Titan Season 4, released a new music video on Friday to celebrate its 15th anniversary. The video, set to the song “Seikatsu” (“My Life”) by the three‑piece pop band PEOPLE 1, was uploaded to MAPPA’s official YouTube channel and showcases the studio’s animation process. In addition to the video, MAPPA announced the MAPPA EXPO 15th Anniversary exhibition, which will run at the Yurakucho Museum in Tokyo from 16 September to 7 December 2026.

The anniversary video is described by MAPPA as a “visually rich experience that celebrates both human relationships and the artistry of animation.” The film uses key animation drawings and storyboards to depict people living in the same era, the connections they share, and the choices that shape their futures. The production team includes planner Manabu Ohtsuka, director, storyboard artist and character designer Akiko Kudou, key art by Manabu Akita, animation by Yasugi Narumi, color key artist Ayako Suenaga, background by Nanoka Shirai, compositing director of photography Kenta Fujita, photographer Ken Fujitani, and editor Yūsuke Sunouchi.

PEOPLE 1 has a history of collaboration with MAPPA. The band performed the ending theme “DOGLAND” for episode 10 of the Chainsaw Man anime, and MAPPA also produced a music video for the song “Like the Flatwoods Monster” by Eve and PEOPLE 1 vocalist/bass guitarist Deu. The use of PEOPLE 1’s “Seikatsu” for the anniversary video continues that partnership.

The MAPPA EXPO 15th Anniversary exhibition will feature a selection of the studio’s most prominent works. Pieces on display include the Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, Attack on Titan The Final Season, Jujutsu Kaisen, and other titles that have defined MAPPA’s output over the past decade and a half. The exhibition will be held at the Yurakucho Museum in Tokyo, a venue that has hosted other major anime exhibitions. As of the press release, ticket prices have not yet been announced.

MAPPA was founded in 2011 by Masao Maruyama, a former co‑founder of Madhouse. Over 15 years, the studio has produced a number of critically acclaimed series, including Yuri!!! on Ice, Banana Fish, Dorohedoro, Vinland Saga Season 2, and Hell’s Paradise: Jigokuraku. The studio’s 15th anniversary marks a milestone in a period during which it has become one of the most prolific and influential animation studios in Japan.

The release of the anniversary music video and the announcement of the exhibition are part of a broader set of events announced during MAPPA’s 15th‑anniversary lineup presentation on 19 June 2026. The presentation also revealed two new anime productions and updated information on several ongoing titles, including the upcoming Beat & Motion anime adaptation of Naoki Fujita’s manga.

In summary, MAPPA’s 15th‑anniversary celebrations include a newly released music video featuring PEOPLE 1’s “Seikatsu,” an exhibition of key works at the Yurakucho Museum from 16 September to 7 December, and a slate of new projects announced at the same event. Ticket pricing for the exhibition remains to be announced, and no additional releases have been scheduled beyond the announced projects.
