New York City is set to become a whirlwind of music‑industry action in early June 2026, with three high‑profile events overlapping from June 8 to 11. The city’s flagship New York Music Month (NYMM) will run alongside the invite‑only Music Investor Conference (MIC) and the 18th annual A2IM Indie Week, all spread across the five boroughs and the InterContinental New York Times Square.

NYMM will showcase more than 60 free performances, workshops, panels and networking sessions. Highlights include fireside chats with Bronx jazz singer Samara Joy, pop superstar Ariana Grande and Reservoir Media CEO Golnar Khosrowshahi. Panels will bring together culture‑makers such as Cautious Clay, L’Rain, Anik Kahn, Margaret Glaspy and Anand Wilder. The Radio City Concert Series will spotlight independent radio, featuring curated events by WNYC, WFUV, WFMU, The Lot Radio, Shereos Radio, East Village Radio, Maker Park Radio and WKCR. Meanwhile, the NYMM Concert 3 Part Series will unfold at Le Poisson Rouge, SOBs and Herbert Von King Park, with acts including Timi Dre, Jubilee, Ultra Violet, Quiana Parks, The Antlers, Dariel Amant and SALIMATA.

The Music Investor Conference, organized by David Israelite, will hone in on music catalogs and intellectual property. A keynote from Jody Gerson, Chairman and CEO of UMPG, will open the schedule. Other high‑profile interviews will feature Concord CEO Bob Valentine, BMG CEO Thomas Coesfeld, Kobalt CEO Laurent Hubert, Primary Wave CEO Larry Mestel and Reservoir Media CEO Golnar Khosrowshahi. A panel will bring together Warner Chappell Co‑Chair and CEO Guy Moot, COO Carianne Marshall and Bain Managing Director John Ezekowitz, along with sessions from law firms, investors and expert services.

A2IM’s Indie Week will occupy the InterContinental New York Times Square from June 8 to 11. Produced with support from the American Association of Independent Music, the event will feature a conversation between Nat Zilkha, Co‑Founder and Executive Chairman of Firebird Music Holdings, and Jason Peterson, CEO of GoDigital Music Group, on new business models for indie labels. Fireside chats will include A2IM CEO Ian Harrison and Luminate CEO Rob Jonas. Keynote speakers will span Tom Becci, CEO of Concord Label Group; Steven Victor, Founder of Victor Victor Worldwide; Shira Perlmutter, Register of Copyrights and Director of the U.S. Copyright Office; and Charlie Lexton, CEO of Merlin.

Workshops and masterclasses will cover a broad spectrum, from a Spotify for Artists Masterclass to sessions led by ONErpm, Chartmetric, Musixmatch, ElevenLabs, SoundExchange, LyricFind, UnitedMasters, EMPIRE and Music Services. Symphonic will present sessions on the LATAM market and the modern label playbook, while DataArt, OpenPlay, Too Lost and beatBread will host IndieVest ‘26, linking the financial investment sector with the independent music community. Community events will include the SoundOn Happy Hour, SonicOrigin Listening Challenge, and partner events with DISCO, Groover, KitBetter, WIN, SonoSuite, Bandcamp, Secretly Distribution, IRP, IDOL, ADA, Billboard, TuneCore, SoundCloud, Amazon, Genius and STEM.

The convergence of NYMM, MIC and Indie Week underscores New York City’s position as a nexus for music business, technology and culture. These events provide free access to industry‑wide networking, education and business opportunities, while the investor‑focused conference offers a dedicated platform for catalog and IP discussions. As the city continues to host a diverse array of music‑industry gatherings, stakeholders can expect further collaboration, investment and innovation across both independent and corporate sectors.
